Formally know as the Linn O Dee, this small long standing community pub occupied a traditional street front building and mission hall across the full depth of the site. The site was very restricted and it became necessary for the purchase of the neighbouring local authority ground to be negotiated.
The old mission hall required complete demolition however the site is within a conservation area so it was re-built to match. The remainder of the building was designed to look like separate units matching the patchwork pattern of the towns blocks to the east. The palette of materials is very diverse with the zinc, larch and cast stone 1 storey block contrasting, yet successfully working alongside the handmade brick, render and slate 2 storey mission hall.
